RURAL SAFETY INITIATIVE
The Rural safety Initiative is sposored and co-ordinated by the South Staffordshire Constabulary and South Staffordshire Council and has the full support and backing of The Trysull & Seisdon Parish Council.
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE SAFETY INITIATIVE
To maintain the rural image and environment by addressing in a structured, coherent manner, issues of:-
|
SAFETY (Road Safety - Speeding - Other) | |
|
SECURITY | |
|
ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOR |
in and around the parish and the exchange of relevent information with other local parishes.
This is achieved by listening to the concerns of the parish residents and by gathering and collating relevant information relating to these concerns.
The information, once gathered and collated, can be passed on to the Rural Safety Group or to other agencies such as the police or local council with a view to getting cost effective remedies to concerns and problems identified.
In addition it seeks to involve the community in the decision making process by asking the right questions of the right people armed with the accurate and current information.
The basic groundwork is carried out by by the local action group which has just been formed in Trysull & Seisdon and is in need of additional members, see below.
